Yangzhou Grand Canal and Maritime Silk Road Pavilion Opens

On December 3, Yangzhou Grand Canal and Maritime Silk Road Pavilion officially opened. The pavilion contains a preface hall, a movie viewing area and separate thematic halls featuring the beginnings of the Maritime Silk Road, international communications, economic cooperation and cultural exchanges. Through display of related pictures, texts and objects, as well as interaction programs, it reveals the long history and rich cultural connotations of Yangzhou's development in relation to the Grand Canal and the Maritime Silk Road, reproducing the prosperous scene of the ancient Yangzhou and showcasing its outstanding contribution to the ancient Maritime Silk Road.
